Bill Sullivan will be the program speaker at the Thursday, Sept. 8, Rotary Club of Edina meeting. Sullivan is the executive vice president for Basic and Applied Research in Surgery (IBARS). He will speak about "Advances in Organ Transplantation." 
 
He has 38 years of senior management experience in medical non-profit research foundations. For the past 32 years, Sullivan has run Dr. John Najarian's medical research foundation within the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota, focusing on issues relating to organ transplantation. 
 
In addition, Sullivan is chair of the Diplomats Committee for the Edina Chamber of Commerce; chair of the Board of Directors for the St. Paul Fire Department Foundation; and lead director for an international cardiovascular surgical society, the Lillehei Surgical Society. 
 
Terry Moore will give his classification talk at the meeting.
