“You'll laugh, you'll cry, you may see Tim Murphy fly!”

—Bob Halagan, 2017–2018 District 5950 Governor

Join us Monday, May 21, at the Guthrie Theater in downtown Minneapolis for the 2018 District 5950 Conference—a year-end celebration of all the incredible work our District 5950 Rotarians have done this Rotary year. The event is split into three "acts," and members can sign up for all three acts, or pick and choose what works best.

All Rotarians are encouraged to attend the District Conference. The club will reimburse regular members for the cost of one session (or "Act") at the conference, up to $50. Sign up today on the District website. Then send an email to Club Administrator Jennifer Garske that you are signed up. You will be credited for the reimbursement amount on your next quarterly invoice (up to $50 per member, depending on the session(s) you registered for). Please let Jen Garske or President San Asato know if you have questions. Early bird pricing ends April 1, and you won't want to miss this Rotary-tacular event!

Join us Monday, May 21, at the Guthrie Theater in downtown Minneapolis for the 2018 District 5950 Conference—a year-end celebration of all the incredible work our District 5950 Rotarians have done this Rotary year.

This will be a conference unlike any other. Keeping in the theater theme, we have three amazing acts for you to experience. We hope you will come for all three, but you can also mix and match to fit your schedule.

Here are details on the conference:

Act I—It's a Wonderful Life: Highlights include a keynote by Marilyn Carlson-Nelson on human trafficking. Kick-off the day with a show-stopping opening ceremony and our very own Rotary “Oscars” award program hosted by George Bailey and Clarence the Angel. You might even see Past District Governor Tim Murphy fly! Cost for Act 1 is $25.

Act II—Working 9 to 5: Highlights include a keynote by Maria Pacheco on the impact of Rotary on women. We celebrate our Youth Exchange and Rotary partners with the Friendship Hall. Our Done-in-a-Day project is building care packages for victims of human trafficking. Our breakout sessions “How to Make the Most of Rotary” will include improv, dancing, and singing—all culminating in a Rotary show on the Guthrie stage. When else will you get the chance to do that? No talent required, we promise! Cost for Act II is $35 and includes lunch.

Act III—Back to the Future: Highlights include keynote speaker Mitty Chang on the future of Rotary and Happy Hour on the endless bridge with views of the Mississippi. Help us close out our amazing Rotary year with a special focus on shaping the future of Rotary for the next generation—and the difference we will make in the world to come. PLUS: a theatrical finale that will leave you shouting “Encore!” Cost for Act III is $70 and includes dinner.

A full-day pass costs $129 (lunch and dinner included).
Cost for Acts I and II is $60 and includes lunch.
Cost for II and III is $105 and includes lunch and dinner.
