The Rotary Club of Edina will hold a joint meeting with Edina Morningside Rotary Club Tuesday, April 7, at 7:15 a.m. at the Edina Country Club. Program speaker will be Edina Schools Superintendent Ric Dressen, who will talk about the school bonding referendum set to go before voters in May. Dressen is also a member of EMRC.
 
Tech Dump will be holding a free electronics recycling event in the ECC valet parking lot from 7 to 9:30 a.m. in conjunction with the joint meeting.

At the annual spring joint meeting with the Rotary Club of Edina and Edina Morningside Rotary Club, the program speaker will be Dr. Ric Dressen, superintendent of Edina Public Schools. 
 
Dressen, also a member of EMRC, will speak to the the one-question referendum that will come before voters for approval. The referendum will ask for $124.9 million in bond funding, payable over 21 years, for the purposes of updating learning spaces and enhancing building security at the district’s 10 schools, while also improving district infrastructure.
 
The Next Generation Facilities Plan was developed to align and support the strategic advancement and program directions of the district’s Next Generation of Edina Public Schools Strategic Plan, which focuses on personalizing learning for all students and ensuring they have the skills necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing, global world. The joint meeting will begin at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, at the Edina Country Club. Tech Dump will be offering free electronics recycling from 7 to 9:30 a.m. in the ECC valet parking lot in conjunction with the meeting. All are welcome to attend the meeting.
