What was your first job? As a 13-year-old, I detasseled corn for Funks G. Hybrid Corn Company

Who was your first role model and why? Margaret Watson. My lovely and courageous mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 39. She passed away at the age of 85 after demonstrating that you can live a full and happy life despite having a chronic illness for 46 years. 
 
Why did you want to join Rotary? Edina Rotary members use their time and talent to give back. I value organizations that do good and that is the primary reason I decided to join the Edina Rotary Club. The other reason is that Scott MacDonald invited me!

What do you like best about being part of the Rotary Club of Edina? Meeting people and making new friends.
 
What one piece of advice do you offer other business leaders? Challenge and push yourself to learn new skills. Always add value and contribute. Be a life-long learner.
