The Rotary Club of Edina is proud to announce that Ross Peterson is a new member of our Club. Ross's classification is Association Management, and his sponsor to the Club was Dave Hatzung. Ross joined the Club March 12, 2015.

Periodically we feature a new member of the Rotary Club of Edina on our website. This week we meet:

Name: Ross Peterson

Classification: Association Management

What was your first job? Other than a lawn and snow removal business in my early teens, I started working at Gabberts Furniture on the loading dock when I was 16.

Who was your first role model and why? My father. He was a person of integrity, well liked by everyone and always had a great and infectious sense of humor.

Why did you want to join Rotary? Dave Hatzung has always had high praise for Rotary and its members and has asked me a few times over the years. I’ve been very fortunate in my personal life and business career and it seems like it’s a good time to start giving back somehow. “Service Above Self” describes how I feel.

What do you like best about being part of the Rotary Club of Edina? It’s a very friendly and welcoming professional group of people. The opportunities for giving and involvement in the community and beyond are far reaching with many options.

What one piece of advice do you offer other business leaders? Get up in the morning with determination so you can go to sleep at night with satisfaction. Always endure.

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Edina, Ross!
