Rotary Club of Edina will welcome entrepreneur Scott Litman as program speaker at the Thursday, Jan. 12, meeting. Litman, co-founder of Magnet 360 and the Minnesota Cup, will talk about his latest venture—Equals 3, the use of artificial intelligence with IBM's super computer, Watson.

Litman is an entrepreneur in search of new ways technology can advance the mission of chief marketing officers, advertising and media agencies. Some highlights of his career include:
 
 
  • Co-founded web development company Imaginet, sold to J. Walter Thompson.
  • Co-founded Spot Buy Spot, which provided a digital platform for media buyers, sold to Comcast.
  • Co-founded Magnet 360, a sales service and marketing company aligned with Salesforce, sold to Mindtree.
  • Co-founded Equals 3, which is working on commercializing IBM's Watson to marketers through a cognitive companion called Lucy.
  • Co-founded the Minnesota Cup, the largest statewide business planning competition in the country.
Litman will primarily be speaking about his work on his current venture, Equals 3, and the exciting use of artificial intelligence with IBM's super computer, Watson.
