The Rotary Club of Edina will hold a Vocational Day meeting at noon, Thursday, Aug. 4, at Express Metals, 8094 Excelsior Blvd., Hopkins. Lunch and beverages will be provided.

Express Metals recycling is a family-owned and operated business which opened in January 2010. Todd Bollig, an Eden Prairie Rotarian, is the owner. The meeting will include a presentation about the business and tours of the facility.

Rotarians are encouraged to carpool to the meeting with other members of the club if possible. Registration was required to attend the meeting, due to space limitations. Contact Club Service Director Deirdre Kvale if you have questions.

Express Metals recycling is a family-owned and operated business which opened in January 2010. Todd Bollig, an Eden Prairie Rotarian, is the owner. The company is a buyer of all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. They accept products from the general public, commercial, residential and industrial contractors. The meeting will include a presentation about the business and tours of the facility.

The Express Metals facility is located off Excelsior Boulevard, east of Blake Road. From the 50th Street and Highway 100 area, go west to turn right onto Interlachen Boulevard and take that to Blake Road. Take a right on Excelsior Boulevard from Blake Road, and the Express Metals facility is on the left or north side of Excelsior Boulevard, at the back of an industrial complex behind Jacobs Trading Co.

Our club will meet at an event tent set up at the site. When you arrive, proceed through the front gate and follow the directional signs to one of two parking areas. A first parking area is located at the back of the complex and a second parking area will be located ahead of the tent. Should overflow parking be necessary, please park across Excelsior Boulevard from the facility on a residential street.

Members were required to register to attend the meeting. Due to limited space, registration is limited to Rotary Club of Edina members.

Parking is limited at the businessso please carpool with fellow Rotarians if you can. If you want to volunteer to ride in or drive a carpool, contact Club Administrator Jennifer Garske.

This counts as the meeting for the week, so there is no additional cost for regular members. Senior Active and Honorary members will be charged $20 at the door as usual.
