The Interact Club of Edina held their second Skate to End Polio Feb. 10, to raise funds for The Rotary Foundation and their PolioPlus program. Those in attendance, including Edina Rotarians and their families, skated under the stars, and the event raised more than $1,500 for PolioPlus. Thanks to all who attended and donated money to the Interact Club for their biggest event of the year.
The Rotary Club of Edina now has a “B2B Resource Table” for members to share information about their businesses or other organizations at weekly meetings.
Members may place business cards, promotional items, handouts or other materials on the table each week for others to take. Such materials are not allowed on luncheon tables, unless it is related to the featured speaker’s presentation or a club activity. Members who bring items for the B2B Resource Table are responsible for taking them at the end of the meeting; any items left will be thrown away or recycled by the Edina Country Club.
The table may be discontinued if it is found to be of little interest to members.

Rotary’s Council on Legislation met last year, resulting in a new standard club constitution, Rotary clubs’ guiding document. The new constitution covers excused absences for senior members. As a result, our club’s bylaws must be amended to conform. At its January meeting, the Club’s Board of Directors recommended a change to Article 13 for “Member Types:”

The Rotary Club of Edina met on an unseasonably warm Thursday, Feb. 16. The program speaker was Marna Anderson, development and communications director for Nonviolent Peaceforce, who spoke about "Unarmed Protection of Civilians in Conflict." Rotarian Jody Kern was honored as our club's newest Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation, with special meaning in this 100th year of TRF. And Libby Schmit gave a 2016–2017 Community Service local grant to Hearts and Hands on behalf of the Edina Rotary Foundation.
