The Rotary Club of Edina will welcome Katie Clark Sieben as program speaker this Thursday, Oct. 19. Clark Sieben is an economic development consultant with the City of Edina. She will speak about "The Grandview Green Project."

Rotary Camp Enterprise is right around the corner! Sam Thompson and his team are busily getting all the details worked out for the 120 high school students who will attend the three-day camp. The Fireside Chats are very informal social exchanges for the members to enjoy and learn about Rotary and to get to know one another. The hosts are asked only to encourage discussion and a good time for all. It is a chance to meet our new members or reconnect with old friends! Members are encouraged to come to all the Fireside Chats, or pick the one that best works with their schedule.

The annual Area 3 Rotary Veterans Luncheon is set for Thursday, Nov. 9, at Bearpath Golf and Country Club, 18100 Bearpath Trail, Eden Prairie, MN 55347. Check-in begins at 11 a.m. with live music, with the luncheon beginning at 11:15 and concluding at 1:15 p.m.
Please register yourself and all guests online by Nov. 1. We need to report our attendance to the planners, so all are asked to register if they plan to attend.
Each Rotarian may invite up to two veterans as guests of our club, and Senior Active and Honorary Rotarians who are veterans may attend free of charge. Cost for guests that are not veterans will be $25. Senior Active or Honorary members who are not veterans will be charged the usual $20.
There is no Rotary Club of Edina meeting on Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Edina Country Club. All members are encouraged to attend the Veterans Luncheon.

The annual Thanksgiving Baskets Assembly will be the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 22, at the Edina Country Club. Our club will partner with Edina Morningside Rotary Club again this year to assemble and deliver baskets to those in need. We will gather at 11:45 a.m. for lunch, and then will begin assembling the Thanksgiving baskets for area families in need after that. Volunteers are needed for the basket assembly, as well as deliveries after the event.
Bring friends and family to join in lunch, assembly of baskets and delivery. Please register here if you plan to attend, and make sure to register all guests. Cost for lunch is $20 for Senior Active, Honorary and adult guests. Children cost $12.
Contact Michael Stanzak or Mary Hustad with info about who you would like to be paired up with for deliveries or for more information about the event. Baskets are delivered to families in Edina, and north and south Minneapolis.

The program speaker at the Oct. 12 Rotary Club of Edina meeting was Tina Rexing, founder of T-Rex Cookie Company. And Tina brought some of her delicious and giant cookies to share with the club!
Rotarian Wooj Byun was the next speaker in the Six Carat Diamond series featuring longtime Rotary Club of Edina members. He spoke of his Rotary journey and what being a Rotarian has meant to him.
Youth were highlighted at the meeting as well. Steve Buettner brought forward the two Edina High School students who joined us and introduced themselves and what they are involved in at EHS. And Sam Thompson, this year's chair of Camp Enterprise, introduced Gregory Fink, a participant in last year's Camp E. He was sponsored by our club to Camp E, and he talked about the impact camp had on his life.
