Women in Leadership Award to be given May 25
The Rotary Club of Edina will present the eighth-annual “Chrysanne Manoles Women In Leadership Award" at this week's meeting, on Thursday, May 25. Chrysanne Manoles was the first female member of our club, and is still active in Rotary today. In Manoles’ honor and to celebrate the work of women in the community, the Rotary Club of Edina established an annual women’s leadership award in 2008.

New member Jennifer Shinners will be officially inducted into the Rotary Club of Edina at the meeting. And Rotarian Theresa Bea Halverson will give her classification talk at the meeting.

Edina Give and Go collecting instruments
Right here in Edina, there are students who need a little help to play an instrument. If you have a band or orchestra instrument in your home which is no longer being used, please consider donating it to Edina Give and Go so that they can help a student participate in band or orchestra. Please contact Edina Give and Go by email if you have an instrument you would like to give to a student who is experiencing economic disadvantage.

Thank you!
Letter bag
Thank you for the Edina Rotary Foundation's gift of $3,000 to YMCA Camp Ihduhapi to repair and replace the campfire pit. We deeply appreciate it!

Our Annual Campaign raises funds that help us continue the amazing work of building young lives through quality camping and outdoors experiences. It's all part of the Y's cause of strengthening our communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. To attend a Y camp is to learn new skills, make new (often lifelong) friends, build self-confidence, connect with nature, and come away changed in so many good ways. Your support...helps us maintain and improve our camp facilities.

With our thanks,

The May 18 meeting was a Vocational Day at Grandview Tire & Auto—Cahill in Edina with Rick Murphy as our host and speaker. Under a tent packed with Rotarians and a few guests, Rick shared the Grandview success story, which started with Rick's dad, our own Tim Murphy, and continued with the Cahill location's leadership in energy conservation.
