Skate to End Polio 2018 a success!
The Interact Club of Edina's Skate to End Polio was held last Friday, Feb. 16. The fundraiser for The Rotary Foundation's PolioPlus campaign raised $1,496! The Interact Club will donate another $800, meaning a total of $2,296 will be sent to PolioPlus on behalf of the Interact Club. Thanks to everyone who attended or donated funds to the event, and congratulations to the Interact Club!

Leadership Training series kicks off

A group of 17 Rotarians have started a four-month series of Leadership Training sessions that will be completed in May. This is an experiment and we hope this will lead to more opportunities for club members next year. You can see the participants look pretty serious...so we hope they are having fun while they discover their own path to becoming a more effective leader.

Join the High School Scholarship Committee
The Rotary Club of Edina will award two $1,250 scholarships to deserving Edina High School graduates this spring. Scholarships will be given to seniors who exemplify the Rotarian motto of “Service Above Self” and have participated in Rotary programs such as Camp Enterprise, Camp RYLA and the Interact Club of Edina. The application review period is tentatively scheduled for March 21 through mid-April.

If you are interested in reviewing applications and determining the two scholarship winners, please contact Jennifer Bennerotte, jbennerotte@EdinaMN.gov or 952-833-9520.

In review

The program speaker at the Feb. 15 Rotary Club of Edina was Phil Hansen, Regional CEO for the American Red Cross Minnesota Region.

Two Edina High School students attended the meeting and shared their high school experience with us, as well as their plans for the future. Santiago Saldana and Juan Uride were impressive!

Rotarian Heather Edelson gave her Classification Talk at the meeting.

John Flynn and Jean Morrison presented longtime Rotarian Tom Pirsch with The Rotary Foundation Major Donor award.
