John Flynn provided a warm MN Golden Gopher welcome in honor of our guest speaker, coach Fleck. It was visitor’s day and the room was filled with several new faces. Ann Platt led us with the invocation, Pledge of Allegiance and the Rotary 4 Way Test.

We wished our fellow Rotarian Harold Hanson a Happy 94th birthday by singing to him.
Steve Buettner introduced two Edina High School Seniors, Sophie and Joe who shared their high school experiences and all they are involved in. They are both anxiously awaiting their college admission letters and based on their resumes they will have great success.
Shelly Loberg, Director of International Service, introduced Greg Krauska from ShelterBox. Greg shared how ShelterBox would be using the funds to spread aid during times of natural disaster and conflict.
Mark Jessen introduced our guest speaker, PJ Fleck, coach of the University of MN Football team. Coach Fleck spoke on the culture of the MN football program and how he strives to make a difference in the lives of others through the game of football. He challenged us by asking “How are you using your platform to make a difference?”
Coach Fleck introduced us to his HYPRR program:

Mark Stageberg thanked PJ for presenting and John ended the meeting with a quote form Helen Keller: “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”
