Heather Flies has been the Junior High Pastor at Wooddale Church longer than many of her students have been alive. She began her ministry at Wooddale as the Junior High Associate in 1996. In 1998, she joined the pastoral team. Her talk at our meeting is titled "Youth Today vs. 25 Years Ago—As an Adult, What is Our Role?" during which she will help us better understand our youth today and how as adults we can better guide them.
Outside the walls of Wooddale Church, Flies spends a great deal of time and energy as a communicator and has authored "I Want to Talk to My Teen About Girl Stuff" (Standard Publishing) in 2007. In the fall of 2011, her book for teenagers, "That’s What She Said/That’s What He Said," debuted with Summerside Press.
Flies is a graduate of Bethel University in St. Paul where she majored in Communication. She received her Masters of Arts in Theological Studies from Bethel Seminary, also in St. Paul.
She loves football, tennis, NASCAR racing and listening to Christmas music 11 months out of the year. Flies and her husband, Chad, live in Eden Prairie.

Today was a joint meeting with the Edina Morningside club. This meeting was a chance to gather together and remind our membership of the fun we have and good we do together. Our Mayor Jim also gave an encouraging presentation of the state of our community for the year 2019, where we are today and what is coming in future.
Chartered by our Noon Club on October 3rd, 1989. There have been 2 Rotary Clubs in Edina now for 29 years. The Morningside Club is prospering and now has 88 members. Together we participate in many wonderful programs. To encourage yourself and others that you know to participate, I remind you of a few here. Please share this list of special opportunities with all of your friends and neighbors.
The Edina Country Club will be serving an April 11 lunch menu of Parmesan Crusted Cod Loins or Italian Chopped Salad.
