The Rotary Club of Edina will welcome Professor David Schultz as the program speaker for the first meeting of the New Year, Jan. 3. Schultz, a professor at Hamline University and the University of Minnesota, will give us an analysis of the 2018 elections. 

 

 

 

The next Rotary Vocational Development Group will be Wednesday, Feb. 6. There is no gathering in January 2019.
 

Once a month, Edina Rotarians have a chance to connect with other club members, and any guests, at the happy hour. This Rotary event is held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at The Mezz at the Lunds & Byerly's in Edina. The meeting will feature a brief presentation from a featured Rotarian, plus time for introductions, networking and questions. The Rotary Club of Edina and EMRC collaborate on this event.

 

 

President John Flynn and Pam Conlow hosted out annual Holiday Party at Edina Country Club Dec. 20. Over 150 members and guests enjoyed a nice evening with heavy hors d’oeuvres, adult beverages and plenty of fellowship.  Everyone was in the holiday spirit! Christmas music by Linda Peterson made for an excellent time. Our special thanks to the staff at Edina Country Club for doing an outstanding job of making the night special.

Edina Rotarians, family and friends were ringing at the red kettle for the Salvation Army in December! Here new member Joe Mahoney and Rotarian Toshie Metzger ring the bell at Lunds & Byerly's on France Avenue in Edina. Ringers also were at Jerry's Foods in Edina during the week of Dec. 17.

 

Thanks to all our volunteers! And special thanks Dan Hallberg and Wayne Harmon for handling all the planning, details and bell hand-offs again this year! 

 

The third quarter invoices, for January-March 2019, will be emailed or mailed out to members this week. If you are signed up for ACH, please DO NOT send payment when  you receive your invoice. The emailed invoice is just for your reference to check any charges. Your automatic payment will go through around Jan. 10.
