9 People Needed on Sat., May 4 - 9 to 11 am

Let's be of service, Rotarians! It is time for the Rotary Club of Edina's bi-annual visit to Feed My Starving Children in Chanhassen. The date for our spring volunteering event is Saturday, May 4, from 9 to 11 a.m. and we need 9 more people. Feed My Starving Children is at 18732 Lake Drive East in Chanhassen, right off Highway 5 and Dell Road. We will pack enough food to feed over 60 people for a year in just two hours. Rotarians are invited to bring family and friends and any child over the age of 5 is welcome. This is a great family event.

Please register online on our website so that we have the 25 people we need to fill our commitment. You can also sign up through Feed My Starving Children by going here.

For more information or questions, contact Mike Sitek, chair of the event.

Spring Fireside Chats Schedule

It's time for the Spring Fireside Chats! We have four events scheduled for Rotarians to attend May 21 through May 24. All Fireside Chats begin at 7 p.m.

The first gathering is Tuesday, May 21 at the home of Joe Hayes, 5560 Shore Road, Shorewood. Register here.

Held each spring and fall, the Fireside Chats are very informal social exchanges for members to enjoy and learn about Rotary and to get to know one another. The hosts are asked only to encourage discussion and a good time for all. It is a chance to meet our new members or reconnect with old friends!

The other gatherings are:

Wednesday, May 22—home of Tim Murphy, 9110 225th St W, Lakeville. Register here.
Thursday, May 23—home of Gordy Lewis, 6824 Chapel Lane, Edina. Register here.
Friday, May 24—home of Paul Mooty, 5320 Kelsey Terrace, Edina. Register here.

Members are encouraged to come to all the Fireside Chats, or pick the one that best works with their schedule. We encourage everyone to register to allow the hosts to plan for the event.

New members—you are especially encouraged to attend one or all of the Fireside Chats! It is a great way to get to know your fellow Rotarians in a casual atmosphere. Let us know if you have questions.

In Review - April 18
On a beautiful snow and rain-free afternoon, we Rotarians arrived early for the 12th annual Area 3 Vocational Ethics Luncheon meeting.  We were checked in by Ross Peterson and greeted by Michael Stanzak.  This long awaited meeting was organized by Past District Governor, Dan Hallberg, Wayne Harmon and one committee member from each of our area clubs.  Great work!

After a very pleasant social time, delicious meal and more fellowship, Eden Prairie Noon Club Rotarian and today’s Master of Ceremonies, John Crudele, gaveled the meeting to order at 12:15pm, extending a warm welcome to everyone in attendance.
