The third chief executive officer to lead the former Padilla Speer Beardsley since its founding in 1961, Lynn Casey led the company through the largest acquisition of its history when it combined with CRT/tanaka in September 2013 to form Padilla, as well as several acquisitions since. Casey's reputation for building, growing and protecting successful brands comes from her ability to listen, strategize and shoot straight. She works with Padilla clients around the country and in a variety of industries. She also advocates for clients and their issues in our headquarters community, where she serves on several nonprofit boards and is active in many business and civic organizations.
She will speak about "Why Servant Leadership Serves Us Well."
Currently Casey serves as past board chair of the Greater Twin Cities United Way, vice chair of the University of Minnesota Foundation, and serves on the board of Mia (Minneapolis Institute of Art). She is an active member of the Minnesota Women’s Economic Roundtable and the Itasca Project. She also serves on the board of Walman, a leader in the optical industry and one of Minnesota’s largest ESOP organizations. Professional involvement at the national level includes the PR Council board and, currently, the board of the Arthur Page Society.

It's time for the Spring Fireside Chats! We have four events scheduled for Rotarians to attend May 21 through May 24. All Fireside Chats begin at 7 p.m.
The first gathering is Tuesday, May 21 at the home of Joe Hayes, 5560 Shore Road, Shorewood. Register here.
Held each spring and fall, the Fireside Chats are very informal social exchanges for members to enjoy and learn about Rotary and to get to know one another. The hosts are asked only to encourage discussion and a good time for all. It is a chance to meet our new members or reconnect with old friends! Click "Read More" for the details of each gathering.

Club Service is looking to find a few more fellow Rotarians who would like to join our Photo Committee. As you've probably guessed, your main duty would be to take photos during the meeting, as well as circulate before the meeting and take photos of members socializing. These photos are then uploaded to our photo file and Facebook being used on our webpage, newsletter and social media sites. Please let Club Service Director, Marty Kupper, marty@kupper.com, know if your interested in becoming part of the Photo Committee.
New members Eli Groenendyk and Nick Van Beek with Wade Thommen and Brad Hepp
Thursday noon was another uplifting gathering. Several guests and a good showing of attendance. It is helpful to hear from organizations that we support and make a connection. As Brandon Azbill shared in his invocation some of these organizations that apply for grants are very inspiring.
I really enjoyed our Jennifer Bennerotte's assembly presentation. She did a good job of efficiently taking us through reminders about serval important not to miss parts of how to get the most out of one’s Edina Rotary Membership. I highlight a few things here:
The Edina Country Club will be serving a buffet lunch with Lemon Dill Cod and Chicken Piccata at our May 16 meeting. Lunch begins at 12:15 p.m. with the meeting to follow and ending at 1:30 p.m.
The Rotary Club of Edina's Administrator, Becci Michalski, works part time and will respond to your inquiries within 24 hours. Contact her at rmichalski@EdinaRotary.org or leave a voicemail or text message at 612-234-7390.
