On December 19, Rotarians and guests gathered at the Edina Country Club for the annual Rotary Club of Edina Holiday Cocktail Party. More than 135 people enjoyed food, drink and warm conversation by the fire as they celebrated the holidays. Many holiday-themed ties and sweaters were worn, as well as one amazing suit that was the very definition of holiday spirit! Christmas cheer was evident and a good time was had by all.
Thanks to party chairs Marty Kupper and Steve Slyce for once again organizing such a wonderful evening.

A copy of the club's January to June 2020 meeting duty roster was delivered to your email on December 24. Please review this document and mark your calendar for the dates you've been assigned to help. Due to the size and scope of our membership, we have adopted a “team” scheduling format. This allows club services to better manage duties based on member’s seasonal availability, committee participation, leave of absence, etc. Most members are assigned at least one duty on the roster. If they only have one this half of the year, they will be scheduled close to the beginning of the July-December 2020 schedule. An alphabetical schedule has also been provided to help you locate your date of required service and duty.
If you need to find a replacement because you cannot attend a meeting you are assigned, please let Fred Slyvester (Club Service Director) or me know who is covering for you. It is a member's responsibility to find someone to take their place if they cannot attend a Rotary meeting where they have an assignment.
The Duty Roster is stored in the member area of the club website. Just log in to the website and go to "View Club Documents" in the column on the left. From there, you will see a folder titled "Meeting Assignments." The Duty Rosters are available to download there. The meeting assignments for the week are shown on the club website homepage, in the middle on the right of the page and published in the newsletter, “The Barker”.
Please let Becci Michalski or Fred Slyvester know if you have any questions.

Five area high school students won scholarships during Camp Enterprise last month.
Camp Enterprise, organized by the Rotary Club of Edina and Edina-Morningside Rotary Club, provides high school students with a unique opportunity to learn about leadership, business and the free enterprise system.
During the three-day autumn camp Nov. 7-9, presentations were made by business executives and entrepreneurs who shared their experiences with the students and answered questions about a variety of fields and interests. In addition, students participated in a series of customized teambuilding experiences. The students broke into teams and focused a majority of their time at camp on a business case study which culminated in team presentations.
