DESCRIPTION:Rotary Club of Edina members are invited to attend the Edina Co
 mprehensive Plan Kick-off Meeting at 7 p.m. Monday\, May 8\, at Braemar G
 olf Course\, 6364 John Harris Drive\, Edina. The kick-off meeting will ce
 lebrate the launch of the project and is free and open to everyone. At the
  community meeting\, the comprehensive planning process will be introduced
 \, and people and organizations are encouraged to share what they would li
 ke to see for Edina in the coming years.  The Comprehensive Plan is a doc
 ument required by the Metropolitan Council to guide development\, prepare 
 for changes in the community such as increased traffic\, and give an outli
 ne of how to address other factors that may have an impact on people\, bus
 inesses and quality of life. It’s also used as a basis for developing pr
 ograms and directing where to spend tax dollars.  An update to Edina’s 
 plan is due at the end of 2018. Public input is now sought to help as the 
 two-year process begins. Two workshops were recently held to incorporate t
 hemes from “Vision Edina\,” the 2015 strategic vision for the City\, i
