July 24, 2025 -- The 2025-26 season will be the third season for Dawn Plitzuweit at the helm of the Golden Gophers women’s basketball program. Plitzuweit was named the 13th women’s basketball coach in Minnesota’s history on March 18, 2023.
Plitzuweit joined the Maroon and Gold after serving as the head coach at West Virginia University for the 2022-23 season where she led the Mountaineers to an NCAA Tournament berth.
If it's been a while since you've updated your Rotary Club of Edina member profile picture, Thursday, July 24 beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at 12:15 p.m the club will be offering the service of a professional portrait photographer free of charge. Head shots will be taken at Edina Country Club in the room across from the ballroom before our meeting. This will be a first come/first serve event, so get in line early.

Mark your calendar for the 2025 Rotary Club of Edina car show to be held SUNDAY, September 14 from Noon to 4 pm at 50th and France. The 2025 theme for the Edina Rotary Foundation annual fundraising gala is "Hearts of Gold". This event will take place on Saturday, September 27 at Interlachen Country Club, Edina. The primary goal of ERF's annual fundraiser is to raise funds that directly support local non-profit programs and initiatives, effectively providing a financial lifeline for the work done in our community. July 17, 2025 — The Rotary Club of Edina recently presented four scholarships to deserving students at Edina High School.
The Rotary Club of Edina presents scholarships ranging from $750 to $1,500 to graduating Edina seniors who exemplify the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self” and have participated in Rotary programs such as Camp Enterprise, Camp RYLA, Vocational Ethics Day, youth exchange, Edina Rotary Global Scholars or the Interact Club of Edina. This year’s scholarships were presented to Caitlin Bambery, Anoushka Jha and Maxwell Willmuth. Student details below.
July 8, 2025 — The Edina Rotary Foundation is accepting applications from non-profit organizations in Edina and its contiguous communities for grants to be used for capital purchases. Applications are due Oct. 31.
Each year, the Rotary Club of Edina raises money at the Edina Car Show and a fall fundraiser to support its projects and award grants. Each year, about $100,000 is raised for the Club’s service projects and local and international grants. July 8, 2024 — Rotary Club of Edina Past President Paul Peterson recently recognized a Rotarian for outstanding service to the club and community. Josh Sprague was named “Rotarian of the Year.”
Sprague joined the club in 2008 and has been an active member since. “Josh is someone who embodies the Rotary spirit in everything he does,” Peterson said before presenting the award in late June. “A true champion of the Four-Way Test, he's a Past President, the driving force behind the Edina Car Show and a behind-the-scenes hero on the Guatemala mission trip. He even had the courage … to recruit me as your President. He leads with passion, handles the details most overlook and always goes above and beyond.” Read below for additional award update.
