Dr. Mark Kroll will be the program speaker at the Thursday, March 30, Rotary Club of Edina meeting. Kroll is the retired chief technology officer and senior vice president at St. Jude Medical, and holds more than 340 U.S. patents for medical devices.

Our The Rotary Foundation Bowl Commissioners (Sandy Schley and Tim Murphy) and their team captains are busy contacting all members to ask that everyone donate to The Rotary Foundation (TRF). It doesn’t matter if it is $26.50 (which was the first donation in 1916 to start TRF) or whatever amount you are comfortable with. Several of you have become Paul Harris Society members, which means you are committing $1,000 a year. Congratulations and thank you!

The next Rotary Vocational Development Group will be next Wednesday, April 5. The speaker at the meeting will be our own André Brewer. 

 

Once a month, Edina Rotarians have a chance to connect with other club members, and any guests, at the happy hour. This Rotary event is held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at The Mezz at the Lunds & Byerly's in Edina. The meeting will feature a brief presentation from a featured Rotarian, plus time for introductions, networking and questions. The Rotary Club of Edina and EMRC collaborate on this event.

Executive Director Abigail Lugo extended an invitation to all Rotarians to stop by "A Great Gathering for a Great Cause," from 6 to 8 p.m. at Braemar Golf Course Clubhouse. The Rotary Club of Edina met on a grey, windy and gloomy Thursday, March 23, but our spirits were brightened with the fellowship of Rotarians. The program speaker was Judy Keen, editor at the Star Tribune, and she spoke about “Covering Politics in a New Era.” New members Nash Faulk and Scott Hawkins were officially inducted into the club. And two Edina Rotary Foundation local grants were given out by the Community Service—Local Funding Committee.
