The Rotary Club of Edina will welcome Jerry Rubino as program speaker at the Thursday, June 8, meeting. Rubino is a musician, conductor and educator in the Twin Cities and beyond who has worked with the MacPhail Center for Music and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra Chorale, and many more universities, schools and musical groups. He works every year with Doc Severinsen (shown on the left with Rubino) for the Jingle Bell Doc performance with the Minnesota Orchestra. He is the artistic director of Jerry Rubino Plus and serves as the minister of music at Spirit of Hope United Methodist Church in Golden Valley.
Kelley Burnett will be officially inducted into the club at the meeting.
The next Rotary Vocational Development Group will be tomorrow, Wednesday, June 7.
Once a month, Edina Rotarians have a chance to connect with other club members, and any guests, at the happy hour. This Rotary event is held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at The Mezz at the Lunds & Byerly's on France Avenue in Edina. The meeting will feature a brief presentation from a featured Rotarian, plus time for introductions, networking and questions. The June speaker is Jodi Tervo Roberts, a member of the Edina Morningside Rotary Club. The Rotary Club of Edina and EMRC collaborate on this event.

We are looking for volunteers for 2017 Camp Enterprise, specifically in the marketing area! Contact Camp E Chair Sam Thompson to volunteer, or for more information about our largest Youth Service project. If you are a new member who would like to know more, contact Sam, or go to the Camp E website and learn more, and then volunteer!
Camp Enterprise will be Thursday, Nov. 2, through Saturday, Nov. 4, at YMCA Camp Ihduhapi.

Thanks again, we appreciate each of you. If anyone would like to attend our fundraiser breakfast, it is 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, at the Metropolitan Ballroom in Golden Valley. There is no cost to attend. A delicious breakfast and a chance to hear from clients, staff, a board member and a detective about the good work being done by Cornerstone.
At the Thursday, June 1, Rotary Club of Edina meeting, the program speaker was Rep. Dario Anselmo, who represents Edina residents and District 49A in the Minnesota House of Representatives. New Rotarians, and father and son, Don Andersen and Mike Andersen, were officially inducted into the club. The Interact Club board members (shown above with Youth Service Director Sam Thompson) attended the meeting and spoke about the club's highlights during the school year. One of next school year's outbound Youth Exchange student's was introduced to the club. And Joe Arends was honored as our club's newest Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation! A busy meeting!
