Celebrated musician and community advocate Paul “St. Paul” Peterson will be inducted as the Rotary Club of Edina’s 70th President at the group’s weekly meeting Thursday, June 27.
“As the 70th President of the Rotary Club of Edina, I am honored to lead this dedicated group of individuals who embody the spirit of ‘Service above Self,’” said Peterson, who has been a Rotarian for 12 years. “Our goal is to create a club for everyone to come together and make a positive impact in our community. Together, we will continue to build on our legacy of service, bringing about meaningful change both locally and globally.”

Date: Thursday, July 4, 2024 Location: The Northbound lane of Willson Road and Normandale Road is the line up area.
Unit: 29 -- Wear your Rotary shirts and/or Rotary Blue!
LINE UP TIME: 9:00 a.m.
All units must be in position by 9:30 a.m.
The parade begins behind Edina City Hall (4801 W. 50th St.) and travels down 50th Street ending at Halifax. The hour-long parade features veterans, marching bands, floats, horses, musicians, clowns, and more. Learn more about the parade at https://edinaparade.org
Terry Esau, Composer/Producer/Author/Bike-o-holic/Guitar-Giver. Terry, a certified bike-o-holic, started a non-profit in 2010 called Free Bikes 4 Kidz, and has given away over 120,000 bicycles to kids in need. He holds the Guinness World Record for most bikes collected in one day—nearly 10,000! FB4K is now active in 17 cities with a goal of being in 100 cities and 1,000,000 bikes given away in the next five years. Recently Terry co-founded a new non-profit, Free Guitars 4 Kids, where he hopes to duplicate the success he has had with bikes, putting old guitars in young hands. Details of program at www.fg4k.com

Thirty-four students graduated from Edina High School as Rotary Global Scholars.
The Rotary Global Scholars program, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Edina and the Edina Education Fund, was designed to help students develop global competency skills, prepare for a global career, develop understanding of world issues and learn to apply academic content to solve social and global issues.
