The topic of Sri Zaheer’s presentation is "The Transformative Power of Higher Education". During her tenure as dean of the Carlson School, Sri has launched the Military Veterans Initiative, increased the business community’s engagement with the school and has overseen the introduction of new degrees in business analytics, supply chain management, finance, and new programs in partnership with Tsinghua University in Beijing and Tongji University in Shanghai. Rotarians are needed to install and remove the flags and attend the event. Volunteers will install the flags 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 and remove them 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12. Tickets are on sale and registration is open for the Edina Rotary Foundation’s annual fundraiser and gala. Save $50 per ticket by purchasing early. Early bird ticket sales end at midnight on Thursday, Sept 2. Register to attend and purchase your tickets HERE. Registration forms will also be available on the meeting tables for you to fill out and leave with Becci at the front desk.
This year’s fundraiser, themed “Let’s Dance,” will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest. The event will feature dinner, dancing to music by the High and Mighty Band and a raffle.

Helping to develop the next generation of business leaders, Edina Morningside and the Rotary Club of Edina are hosting up to 120 junior and senior students from 60 District 5950 and 5960 high schools. During the three-day camp held at YMCA Camp Induhapi in Loretto, Minnesota these area Rotary club sponsored students will discover the free enterprise system.
