During the months of January and February, the Rotary Club of Edina will be holding its meetings, programs and luncheons at the Braemar Golf Course, 6364 John Harris Drive, Edina MN 55439. The Edina Country Club has scheduled some extensive reconstruction of the kitchen area that may last through the first three months of 2024. Our meeting time (doors opening at 12:15 p.m./program start 12:35 p.m.) and quarterly dues and meeting fees will remain the same. Volunteers welcome participants to the VEAP pantry, explain the process and respond to participant questions, keep the shopping area clean and tidy, sort through food donations, stock shelves, load groceries into vehicles and overall help VEAP promote a positive shopping experience for participants. Our speaker will be Dr. Afira Hasan. She is a primary care optometrist and was born and raised in Houston, TX. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at the University of Texas at Austin and then completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston. She has been working in the Twin Cities for over ten years and sees patients for adult and pediatric eye examinations, including contact lens fittings. Afira is a member of the Edina Morningside Rotary Club current serving as their president. Join us at The District Edina, 7777 Washington Ave, Suite 201, Edina MN 55439. Cost to attend is a $10.00 food/$20 for food and beverages.
