Jennie Schaefer is a special education teacher and Edina Unified advisor at South View Middle School. From the time she was young Jennie has always been drawn to working with children with disabilities, this interest led to her career choice and passion. She has always wanted to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities.
Rachel Knaeble is a special education teacher and Edina Unified advisor at South View Middle School. This is her 16th year as a special education teacher and third year teaching in Edina. Rachel was excited to join South View Middle School last year and is passionate about the Unified movement.
Dr. Tami Jo Cook, Assistant Principal at South View Middle School. Dr. Cook is starting her 28th year in education starting as a South View Middle School and Brainerd math teacher, South View Dean of Students, and is in her 4th year as South View Assistant Principal.

September 16th and the Edina Car Show is fast approaching, we need about 10 people in a couple shifts to help with registration, car check-in and many miscellaneous support tasks. Shifts are two hours and you're welcome to sign up for more than one. Rotarians who just want to visit the show should wear their Rotary gear and help promote the club and event spirit. Sign up today to help Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP) serve the hungry in our community! Volunteers welcome participants to the VEAP pantry, explain the process and respond to participant questions, keep the shopping area clean and tidy, sort through food donations, stock shelves, load groceries into vehicles and overall help VEAP promote a positive shopping experience for participants. With 100 percent member participation, we will raise $25,000 for the Edina Rotary Foundation – nearly a quarter of this year’s fundraising goal for the gala.
Over the course of several meetings a diverse group of Edina Rotary Club members met, discussed and formulated the Rotary Club of Edina, Strategic Vision 2023-2028. Briefly, this vision statement provides the club and foundation's Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Values, Membership, International Service, Community Service, Youth Service, Club Service, Vocational Service, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Financial Strength, and Leadership Development strategic goals. The Edina Rotary Foundation is accepting applications from nonprofit organizations in Edina and its contiguous communities for grants to be used for capital purchases. Applications are due Oct. 31.
Each year, the Rotary Club of Edina raises money at the Edina Car Show and a fall fundraiser to support its projects and award grants. Each year, about $100,000 is raised for the Club’s service projects and local and international grants.
