July 8, 2025 — The Rotary Club of Edina recently presented Sayali Amarapurkar with its 2025 Chrysanne Manoles Women In Leadership Award.
Reflecting society in 1905, the Rotary organization was limited to male members and remained so officially until 1989, when the Council on Legislation, Rotary’s parliament, voted to eliminate the male-only provision, opening up membership to qualified women across the world. However, the forward-thinking Rotary Club of Edina welcomed its first female member, Chrysanne Manoles, a year earlier in 1988. Manoles continues to be active in Rotary. Read more for further details about Amarapurkar and the organizations she serves.
July 8, 2024 — Rotary Club of Edina Past President Paul Peterson recently recognized a Rotarian for outstanding service to the club and community. Josh Sprague was named “Rotarian of the Year.”
Sprague joined the club in 2008 and has been an active member since. “Josh is someone who embodies the Rotary spirit in everything he does,” Peterson said before presenting the award in late June. “A true champion of the Four-Way Test, he's a Past President, the driving force behind the Edina Car Show and a behind-the-scenes hero on the Guatemala mission trip. He even had the courage … to recruit me as your President. He leads with passion, handles the details most overlook and always goes above and beyond.” Read below for additional award update.
