VIA ZOOM Henry Jiménez is Executive Director and President of Latino Economic Development Center. Originally from Las Vegas, NV, Henry came to call Minnesota home in 2008. He has dedicated his academic and professional life to advocating for and advancing his community. Henry’s focus with LEDC is to help Latino entrepreneurs start or expand their businesses by connecting them with resources at Minnesota Council on Latino Affairs and activating Latino civic power.

Time: 7:00 to 9:00 pm

Where: Park Tavern, St. Louis Park

Cost: $25/per person covers lane and shoe rental. Pre-registration and payment by Feb. 20 required. Note in "Comments"  if you are part of a specific team.

MEETING LOCATION - The District Edina!! Next Vocation/Avocation Happy Hour is Wednesday, March 1, 2023.  5:30 to 7:00 p.m. meet and greet. Our speaker and host will be C-Vision owner, Chris Laskowski. C-Vision is a video production business that creates marketing and training videos, documentaries, drone photography and live performance video recordings. Chris is a 20-month member of the Edina Rotary Noon club serving on the Public Relations and Club Administration committees. Mar 1 -  2023 Annual State of City
The Edina Chamber of Commerce and the City of Edina present our annual State of City in partnership with the Rotary Club of Edina and the Rotary Club of Edina Morningside. Edina Mayor James B. Hovland and Edina Public Schools Superintendent Stacie Stanley will address city issues and present upcoming plans.

The presentation will be emceed by City Manager Scott Neal and will be recorded and later broadcast on Edina TV.

2023 Guatemala Trip -

REGISTER -- Deadline Extended to Mar 1

The Rotary Club of Edina invites you to join the 2023 International Service trip to Coban, Guatemala.  The purpose of the trip is to deliver 651 life-saving water purifiers to remote villages in the mountains surrounding Coban, in partnership with Resurrection Priory Monastery and the Rotary Club of Coban.  Fellowship and travel to new, exotic places is also part of the journey! This international service and travel opportunity will open to District 5950 club members and the general public. It is limited to 30 people. Register early to secure your spot.

VEAP Mar 15 Volunteer Opportunity

We need FIVE volunteers to fill the roster for March 15, 2023. Please sign up today to help Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP) pack food bags for local school children who go hungry over the weekends during the school year. Volunteers from the Rotary Club of Edina are needed for afternoon shifts at VEAP, 9600 Aldrich Ave., Bloomington, every other month July 2022 through June 2023. Shifts run from 2:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. A minimum of five volunteers per shift are needed.  Sign up HERE.

Abel Ebane is the Chairman and president of the MN Black Chamber of Commerce, an organization focusing on helping Black-owned businesses start, scale, and sustain operations in Minnesota. With his passion for minority business development and success, he serves as a mentor and advocate for black entrepreneurs. He also serves as an advisor at the University of Minnesota’s Venture Center Business Advisory Group. Abel has over 15 years of corporate experience and has served as an advisor to several international businesses.

Spring Service Projects
The Rotary Club of Edina is looking forward to this spring when the following service projects will give our members the opportunity to serve the local community. Saturday, April 15 is a rescheduled event in partnership with MN Involve and their work with the unsheltered Minneapolis population. Grant Snyder and his team are grateful for our help with the assembly of relief kits and the preparation and serving of lunch in Loring Park. Saturday, June 3 will be spent in service to JCS Affective Sober Living who operate two sober homes providing women a safe and healthy transition while in recovery from addition.
