"Building An Inclusive Economy in Minnesota", Race & Equity Series with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis series will be sponsored by District 5950, Rotary Club of Edina, and the Federal Reserve of Minneapolis. This mini-series will take place at Edina Country Club on June 2 and October 6, 2022, 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. It will opened as a district-wide event. Event details and registration can be found HERE.
Rotary Club of Edina's meeting fees cover the cost of this event and counts toward meeting attendance. Please register as an Edina Rotary Club Member. Edina Morningside member, Mark Hegstrom, helps business owners that are 3-12 years out from exit to develop a customized plan. His firm, Business Owner Succession Strategies (BOSS), assists the owner to develop a plan around the three legs of the exit planning stool: business owner financial plan, personal plan post-exit, and business attractiveness. Every business owner will exit his or her business. That is why he thinks: exit planning is simply good business planning. Please join us for this year-end meeting at CW's Bar and Restaurant, 8302 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, MN 55437 We will meet at 5:30 for happy half hour and our speaker presentation from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. This event is a casually centered around becoming better acquainted with the business and career lives of our fellow Edina Rotary Noon and Edina Morningside Rotary Club members. This special Leadership Series evening session will be held Wednesday, June 8 at the Edina Country Club, doors open at 4:30 p.m., a mixer with complimentary appetizers and a cash bar. Open Arms of MN has scheduled an opportunity for Edina Rotary Club members and ERC member guests to work in their kitchen on Friday, June 10th from 1:30pm-4pm. Deadline for sign-up is June 3, 2022.
In order to best accommodate our group and serve Open Arms of MN's growing number of+1300 clients, they are asking us to confirm how many volunteers we will have in our group. Due to COVID-19 social distance guidelines, they can accommodate a maximum of 12 people. To cover cancellations, we are asking for 14 volunteers to sign up, 12 assigned and 2 alternate. Alternates will be asked to work if an assigned member must cancel. Please note in "Tag Text" if you and/or your guest would like to be "Assigned" or "Alternate". Our very own Paul Peterson alerted me to an awesome event he will be doing at the Dakota on Friday, June 24 at 7:00 p.m.. It is a record release party and concert. Here is a link with all of the details:
Joe Doermann at the Dakota and has reserved a block of 20 tickets for us for the 7:00 show. It will operate like it did for the holiday show, members who are interested can purchase their tickets through the box office. Phone orders only are being accepted during the following business hours 10-6 M-F and 12-4 Sa & Su at 612-332-5299. Deadline for buying tickets is June 5th. After that time they will be released to the general public.
Edina, Minnesota, May 24, 2022 — Twenty-three students are set to graduate from Edina High School as Rotary Global Scholars.
The Rotary Global Scholars program, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Edina and the Edina Education Fund, was designed to help students develop global competency skills, prepare for a global career, develop understanding of world issues and learn to apply academic content to solve social and global issues.
