Stories
Aug 10 Speaker: Kate Roberts, MN Historical Society
Kate Roberts loves a good story--a perspective she brings to her work as Senior Exhibit Developer at the Minnesota Historical Society. She and her colleagues have produced tons of story-rich, visitor-centered exhibits for MNHS’s flagship museum and for its network of historic sites. She was the lead developer for The Life and Art of Charles M. Schulz, currently on view at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul.

Kate holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Minnesota. She is a frequent lecturer on museum studies history and practice, and a regular presenter at professional conferences. She is the author of numerous journal articles as well as the books Minnesota 150: The People, Places, and Things That Shape Our State (St. Paul: MNHS Press, 2007) and Toys of the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ’70s (co-authored with Adam Scher; St. Paul: MNHS Press, 2014).

Kate lives in St. Paul. In her free time she walks along the Mississippi River--with or without her dog--putters in her garden, and plays the flute in her community band.
