Stephanie Pierce is a passionate mom, wife, connector, and coach, originally from Chicago, IL. After a 24-year career in Engineering & HR, Stephanie re-invented her work life to bring her passion for building communities together with her strong HR expertise.
James Pierce is a dedicated dad, husband and mentor, originally from Montgomery, AL. James is in the midst of a 30-year career in Information Technology and Business Development with Cargill and is currently one of your elected City Council members.
May 20 will be a club prospective member day. The speakers will be Edina residents, James and Stephanie Pierce. In 2019, James was recognized as a community leader by Mayor James Hovland for his outstanding leadership as Co-Chair of the Edina Race and Equity Task Force. He has been and is currently serving as a board members on Metropolitan Economic Development Association and Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS). Stephanie serves on the board of Edina Give and Go and is a member of the COVID-19 Relief Committee. Both are deeply involved with the Junior Diabetes Research Fund Organization. Bring a guest or two, this dynamic duo is sure to bring new insight and knowledge to the relevant and discussion worthy subject of race, equity and inclusion.
The City of Edina including the Edina Country Club will follow the lead of national, state and local health authorities, and will not enact a city-wide mask requirement. In accordance with updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state health authorities, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz signed an executive order Friday, May 14 that no longer requires masks or facial coverings statewide.

The Rotary Club of Edina had ten members taking part in the 2021 International Service trip to Coban, Guatemala. The service trip will ran May 15 through May 22, 2021 and included visits to Guatemala City, Coban, Escuintla and Antigua. On Friday, June 4, 2021 Rotary Club of Edina members will have the opportunity to work with My Very Own Bed in this hands-on outreach opportunity for families with kids, individuals, clubs, teams, youth groups, or work groups to assemble dream kits and help deliver beds and dream kits to children in our community in need of beds. The Rotary Club of Edina is working to assist a Minneapolis business damaged during civil unrest last summer.
Through a partnership with the Lake Street Council, several Rotary Clubs in Rotary International District 5950 are being paired with Minneapolis businesses damaged or destroyed in late May or early June 2020 to provide them assistance. Our club member's response has been swift and so very helpful for the owner, Amina Osman, visited our club on Thursday, May 27.
Back to the hybrid version of your choice to attend club meeting via IN-PERSON or ZOOM platforms. The continued excellent editing talents of C-Vision Productions (Chris Laskowski) is allowing us to make better use of the taped and edited meetings posted weekly to You Tube and use them as our new "In Review" format. This will eliminate the duty of "The Barker" note taker/writer and we will, for the time being, no longer publish written reviews. In-person meeting photos will resume. Keep in mind watching the You Tube video counts as a make-up. Let Becci know what meeting dates you watched and she will mark you as attended.
