April 22 Meeting is Club Assembly
Rotary International encourages regular “assemblies” to train, exchange ideas and celebrate accomplishments. Clubs are encouraged to have at least two per year to inform and excite Rotarians. The Rotary Club of Edina will hold one at its meeting Thursday, April 22.

Led by Past President Jennifer Bennerotte, the spring Club Assembly will focus on the Edina Rotary Foundation organization and goals, our committees, leadership development and more. Learn more about the club and its projects and processes. There will be time for discussion, questions and an exchange of ideas.

The Rotary Club of Edina meets at 12:15 p.m. Thursdays at the Edina Country Club. All are welcome, though this week's meeting is more specific to members of the Rotary Club. Cost for the meeting is $20 for adults, $12 for kids and will be billed to your next quarterly invoice.
Apr 22 - Edina Rotary Community Conversation on Race
7 p.m. Thursday, April 22 -- Zoom  -- Rotary Club of Edina members are invited to an optional space to process the impact of the trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin and the killings of George Floyd and Duante Wright. The conversation will be hosted by Sylvester Thomas and Josh Sprague of the Race & Equity Committee. The purpose of the gathering will not be to find solutions, but to listen to others. As a club, we know we are better together and when all voices are heard. Please Click “READ MORE” below to get the Zoom link for Thursday’s Zoom meeting and conversation.

Update: Post Plus Assistance

The Rotary Club of Edina is working to assist a Minneapolis business damaged during civil unrest last summer.

Through a partnership with the Lake Street Council, several Rotary Clubs in Rotary International District 5950 are being paired with Minneapolis businesses damaged or destroyed in late May or early June 2020 to provide them assistance. Our club member's response has been swift and so very helpful for the owner, Amina Osman, who will be visiting our club next month. Brad Hepp has completed the insurance audit, Gary Pederson & Ryan Wilson are teaching her QuickBooks and helping her set up the company’s financials, Katy Campbell and her committee are working on marketing. We are currently looking for an electrician who can review the repairs made following the riot and determine what additional electrical work is needed. Post Plus also needs a review of some current legal documents and contracts. If you are interested in helping, contact Past President Sandy Schley, who is coordinating the project for the club on behalf of its Community Service and Race & Equity committees. Schley can be reached at 952-649-1236 or sandraschley@comcast.net.

In Review May 13 Meeting

Click the "You Tube" logo above. In the "Description" are bookmarks/time stamps for jumping to your area of interest.

Back to the hybrid version of your choice to attend club meeting via IN-PERSON or ZOOM platforms. The continued excellent editing talents of C-Vision Productions (Chris Laskowski) is allowing us to make better use of the taped and edited meetings posted weekly to You Tube and use them as our new "In Review" format. This will eliminate the duty of "The Barker" note taker/writer and we will, for the time being, no longer publish written reviews. In-person meeting photos will resume. Keep in mind watching the You Tube video counts as a make-up. Let Becci know what meeting dates you watched and she will mark you as attended.

We will post the link to the last meeting video taped (see above) and photos from the meeting.
