The Rotary Youth Exchange Committee will welcome three students to Edina this fall! Seo-Jun "Sam" Lee has already arrived. Susmita Gautam from Nepal and Francisco "Paco" Tebar from Spain will be here soon.

Volunteers are needed at this year's Camp Enterprise to help with technology. This year's Camp Enterprise is Thursday, Nov. 2, through Nov. 4, and volunteers would need to be there Thursday at noon through Saturday afternoon. The volunteer(s) would make sure microphones, LCD projectors, etc. are all working properly.

The Board of Directors at its Aug. 16 meeting approved postings for four prospective members. Jake Johnson, sponsored by Ann Platt, would have a classification of “Banking.” Dave Phillips, sponsored by Sandy Schley, would have a classification of “Law.” Susan Stiles and Dan Stolfa, sponsored by Josh Sprague, would share a membership and the classification of “Financial Services.”

The Aug. 17 meeting was a very special meeting with Neel Kashkari, President of the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis, as our speaker. Many guests from Area 3 Rotary clubs were in attendance, with more than 230 people present to hear Mr. Kashkari, including District Governor Elect Irene Kelly, District Governor Nominee Russ Michaletz, Edina Mayor Jim Hovland and State Rep. Laurie Pryor from District 48A.
