This family-friendly event will feature some of the best collector cars and bikes in Minnesota, including classic, vintage, and exotic. Our dealer sponsor Key Cadillac will also have some of the hottest new models on display. We will be giving away a free weekend lease of a new Maserati luxury sports car for the winner of our “Best in Show” contest, with attendees voting for their favorite car on the lot.

The annual Patrick D. Kennedy Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Monday, September 14th at the Braemar Golf Center. Tournament proceeds help to maintain Edina Morningside Rotary Foundation's support to programs such as Polio Eradication, International efforts including clean water and women's health initiatives, COVID-19 relief efforts including health and food organizations. On Thursday, September 17, learn about human sex trafficking in Edina and the surrounding area. The pandemic has increased human trafficking. Learn to identify who is most at risk and the steps you can take to prevent sexual assault in families and in our backyard. This workshop is being presented by the Rotary Club of Edina and Rotary Club of Edina Morningside.

As we plan to meet live during these very unpredictable times, we need to adhere to guidelines established by the Edina Country Club, the city of Edina and our Governor. With this in mind, we will continue to offer the virtual meetings via Zoom for our July/August meetings and extend them for a longer period of time if needed. Due to two different meeting platforms and the excellent talents of C-Vision Productions (Chris Laskowski) it has been decided to make better use of the taped and edited meetings that are posted to You Tube and use them as our new "In Review" format. This will eliminate the duty of "The Barker" note taker/writer and we will, for the time being, no longer publish written reviews. We will continue to publish several live meeting still photos with captions at the end of each newsletter as a mini-recap.

Edina Rotary 66th President, Sam Thompson, called the meeting to order at 12:30 LIVE from the Edina Country Club with everyone following strict Covid-19 protocols. He announced that the newly nominated for President of Rotary International is Jennifer Jones. In 2022-23, she will take the historic position of being the 1st woman president of RI. Sam also commented that our club has had 5 women presidents since 2001.
Currently our club is requiring meeting reservations due to COVID-19 pandemic. Please register HERE if you plan on attending in-person and joining us for lunch. The August 20 meeting is scheduled to be held at ECC with doors opening at 12:15 p.m. ZOOM meetings also available by registering HERE. This virtual meeting begins at 12:30 p.m.
