Mar 3 Speaker: Chad Greenway, Former MN Viking
A native of Mt. Vernon SD, Chad was raised on a pig and cattle farm.  He grew up playing 4 sports and working on the family farm. After his days in Mt. Vernon, Chad accepted a scholarship to the University of Iowa to play football.  After his time in Iowa City, Chad was selected 17th overall in the 2006 NFL Draft to the Minnesota Vikings.  Greenway played 11 seasons in the NFL all of them with the Vikings. During his career the Greenways launched the “Lead the Way Foundation” a nonprofit focusing on helping kids and families that suffer from childhood disease.

Mar 2 Vocational/Avocation Happy Hour
Paul will be presenting some tidbits about commercial construction and specific details about his role at Donlar. Bring your questions and he'll do his best to direct you to someone who might be able to answer them for you! Please join us at CW's Bar and Restaurant, 8302 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, MN 55437  We will meet at 5:30 for happy half hour and our speaker presentation from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. This event is a casually centered around becoming better acquainted with the business and career lives of our fellow Edina Rotary Noon and Edina Morningside Rotary Club members.

The Rotary Club of Edina’s Community Service – Projects Committee will collect non-perishable goods for Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP) in March.

Mar 8 Student Leadership Ethics Workshop

The Rotary Club of Edina will host the Leadership Ethics Seminar for Edina High School students on Tueday, March 8, at St. Patrick's Church in Edina. This all-day session features small group discussions, speakers, and a case study discussion for the entire group. 

Twenty adults, mostly Rotarians, will be table leaders for the 60 Edina High School students who are participating. 

The Leadership Ethics Seminar is co-chaired this year by Sutton McGraw and John Buttolph.  To volunteer to be a table leader or speaker at the event, contact Sutton or John.

Please join The Rotary Club of Edina’s Leadership Series in March as we welcome local business owner and coach Amy Hudson to share an interactive learning experience entitled “Maximize Business Effectiveness… Coaching Employees to Peak Performance.”  This session is open to the public so please forward this to your friends, colleagues, and employees so that can benefit as well. **Mar 9  VEAP Bag Pack TWO Volunteers Needed**

STILL NEED TWO VOLUNTEERS FOR WEDNESDAY - 3 TO 4:30 PM  SIGN UP HERE

Help Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP) pack food bags for local school children who go hungry over the weekends during the school year. Volunteers from the Rotary Club of Edina are needed for afternoon shifts at VEAP, 9600 Aldrich Ave., Bloomington, once a month through June. Each shift is 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sign up HERE

Rotarians in Area 3 helped establish this food program several years ago and have regularly helped pack backs of food to be discretely distributed at schools to those in need before the weekend.

District 5950 Support the Afghan Community
District 5950 Rotarians from several clubs support the Afghan Community in Minnesota “Rotary Community Corps" and gathered for its inaugural meeting Feb 5th 2022.This community is expected to double in size as refugee families resettle; more Rotary volunteers and club sponsors are sought. Coke Product Rewards Project
The Edina Rotary Coke Rewards Community Service project is still on-going and full of life. The ERC community service committee will continue to collect and promote this project as a way to give back to St. Jude's throughout 2022. Please collect and turn in your bottle caps and carton/plastic sleeve product codes to the basket located on the registration table. Keep in mind, carton product codes are found on the inside of the cartons (no visible UPC or Scan Codes accepted) and bottle caps codes are printed on the inside of the cap.  Please contact Kris Maser with any questions or comments.
