July 27 - Rotaract Meet and Reconnect
July kicks off a new year for the Rotaract Club of Edina! Mark Gasner did a wonderful job as the founder of this club and president for more than three years. I will be taking over and have big shoes to fill after Mark. I look forward to getting to know everyone better and planning service events, socials, and speakers. Our next event is at Unmapped Brewing on July 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. Let's get to know one another better and feel free to bring a friend. Let me know if you are coming or just show up.

Passionate about a specific volunteer organization or interested in planning a social? Our leadership team meets every other Tuesday morning on Zoom from 8 to 8:30 p.m. The next meeting is July 20 and we would love to hear your ideas. Below is the Zoom link to join.

I am excited for the next year and feel free to introduce yourself if we haven't met yet :)

Thanks,
Annika Sorteberg

Edina Rotary Club,

We had a very nice service for my Dad on June 7 and our Rotary club was well represented and Tom Cook did a great job officiating.  Wooj and I gave eulogy’s but a eulogy given by one of my dad’s pals from church, Juan Griak (8 years old) stole the show (text following).  74 + people were in attendance which we thought was a good showing with Covid on its last legs but still around.  Click "Read More" for additional comments from David.

From Little Hospice in Memory of John MacLennan

. . . Thank you for our generous donation of $100.00 in memory of John MacLennan. What a wonderful way to honor John's memory by helping other families! Your gift truly makes a difference in our ability to provide loving care to many more patients and their families. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and generous gift to our hospice and have sent an acknowledgment of your memorial to the family in care of Chris MacLennan. Best wishes, Robert J. Solheim "Wonderful Rotarians, Thank you so very much for your ongoing kindness and support!" Richard P. Phenow

In Review July 15 Meeting

Click the "You Tube" links below. In the "Description" are bookmarks/time stamps for jumping to your area of interest.

Back to the hybrid version of your choice to attend club meeting via IN-PERSON or ZOOM platforms. The continued excellent editing talents of C-Vision Productions (Chris Laskowski) is allowing us to make better use of the taped and edited meetings posted weekly to You Tube and use them as our new "In Review" format. This will eliminate the duty of "The Barker" note taker/writer and we will, for the time being, no longer publish written reviews. In-person meeting photos will resume. Keep in mind watching the You Tube video counts as a make-up. Let Becci know what meeting dates you watched and she will mark you as attended.

We will post the link to the last meeting video taped (see above) and photos from the meeting.
