A former deputy chief of the Brooklyn Park Police Department moved from the north to the west metro to lead the Edina Police Department beginning August 2021. Todd Milburn will serve as Edina's chief after 30 years in Brooklyn Park, where he had been deputy chief since 2014 and previously served as a police inspector. In a news release from the city, Milburn, a native of St. Paul, said, "I'm going to give all my effort to continue to advance the department in contemporary policing, focusing on the team dynamic of the employees of the police department."

Rotaract will be partnering with members of Basecamp Fitness Edina for a Feed My Starving Children packaging event and then a social to follow! Packaging food will take place on Jan. 29 from 4:30 to 6:15 p.m. at Feed My Starving Children (18732 Lake Dr E, Chanhassen) and then we will go to the Chanhassen Brewing Company at 6:30 p.m. (951 W 78th St, Chanhassen). Keep in mind, carton product codes are found on the inside of the cartons (no visible UPC or Scan Codes accepted) and bottle caps codes are printed on the inside of the cap. Because, as Edina Rotarians, what we do best is reach out and serve, the Helping Hands initiative is now a part of the Membership Committee. We want our members to know we care. Click "Read More" for how it works.
Past President Josh Sprague, subbing for Michael Stanzak who was skiing in the mountains, opened the meeting in honor of Michael Luther King day on Monday, January 17 with a video of Dr. King's famous "I have a Dream Speech." Most members had some level of emotion in reliving this dramatic speech. Josh then brought to the podium his son, Charles Sprague, who gave a thoughtful invocation. But Charles was not done for the day. Josh had Charles get up again and give the closing with the clang of the bell. Several members thought he was more eloquent than his dad.
Past President 2019-2020, Josh Sprauge
Charles Sprague delivered the Invocation, 4-Way Test, Pledge of Allegiance and Closing Bell
