Mar 26 Speaker: Paul Peterson, Professional Musician
Prince discovered Paul, aka, “St. Paul,” at the age of 17.  He enlisted him as a keyboard player in “The Time” and for the movie “Purple Rain.”  Paul took the lead vocalist spot in the Prince produced group “The Family” before becoming a solo artist and scoring hits for MCA and Atlantic Records.
 
St. Paul has recorded, toured or written with Steve Miller, Peter Frampton, Daryl Hall, Price, George Benson, Oleta Adams, The Corrs, Kenny Loggins and Morris Day and the Time to name a few.
 
Paul tours with his band, “St. Paul and the Minneapolis Funk All Stars, consisting of musicians and producers who helped to create the Minneapolis Sound.
 
Paul served as our Club’s President in 2024-25 and is the founder and creator of last summer’s inaugural Rotary sponsored Summer Music Series at Centennial Lakes Park in Edina.

Apr 6 Rotary Happy Hour @ The Mezz
Rotary Happy Hours are the first Monday of the month. Join us at "The Mezz" on Monday, Apr 6, 2026 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. This gathering is a casual, vocational and business network opportunity centered on featuring an Edina Noon or Edina Morningside Rotary member's career story. Guests are welcome. "The Mezz" at Lunds & Byerlys is located at 7171 France Ave, Edina. Personal food and beverage choices are available to order and purchase. Featured speaker is Tomme Beevas, Founder & Chief Strategic Officer of Pimento Jamaican Kitchen and its philanthropic partners, Pimento Relief Services and the Pimento Foundation. Apr 7 Up-schedule - EMRC Joint Meeting 
Tuesday, April 7th, 7:30 a.m., Edina Country Club is a joint meeting with Edina Morningside Rotary and begins with a buffet breakfast. Speaker will be Bill Neuendorf, City of Edina Economic/Community Development Manager. The Rotary Club of Edina noon membership will NOT be meeting Thursday, April 9. 
VOLUNTEER - Apr 8 CES Community Dinner Service
Augustana Lutheran Church and Community Emergency Service (CES) share a long history of service in Minneapolis. Over 50 years ago, Augustana founded CES as one of the first downtown food shelves. Today, CES operates as its own organization but remains closely tied to Augustana, sharing space and a joint commitment to serving neighbors with dignity, compassion, and care.
 
One way this mission comes to life is through monthly Community Dinners, which bring neighbors together for a free meal and fellowship. Our Rotary Club will be volunteering at the April 8th dinner.

VOLUNTEER - Apr 22 Good n' the Hood

Good in the ‘Hood is a non-profit organization dedicated to changing lives with simple acts of kindness and is committed to serving those in need. Jean Morrison will be collecting shoes at the April 2, 9, 16 meetings

Join in our first Rotary Club of Edina Shoe Sorting event on April 22 from 12pm-3pm at their facility in Plymouth, 15400 28th Avenue North.  We will be sorting shoes (Good, Great, Grind) for Good in the ‘Hood to provide to those who may not otherwise be able to purchase quality footwear.  Park in the back of the building and look for the Good in the ‘Hood  Shoe Away Hunger warehouse.   ACTION ITEM: Click "Read More" below.

The Rotary Club of Edina’s Membership Committee welcomes Brittany Ritchie Sievers as our newsest member. Brittany is a former Rotarian from the Minnesota Veterans Club. She is the CEO and Founder of Higher Recruitment She is a graduate of University of Missouri-Columbia and attended JFK Special Warfare School. She serves on the advisory counsel of Americas Warrior Partnership and is active in membership care at the Society of American Military Engineers. Brittany is involved in her church and resides in Savage with her children.
