Prince discovered Paul, aka, “St. Paul,” at the age of 17. He enlisted him as a keyboard player in “The Time” and for the movie “Purple Rain.” Paul took the lead vocalist spot in the Prince produced group “The Family” before becoming a solo artist and scoring hits for MCA and Atlantic Records.
St. Paul has recorded, toured or written with Steve Miller, Peter Frampton, Daryl Hall, Price, George Benson, Oleta Adams, The Corrs, Kenny Loggins and Morris Day and the Time to name a few.
Paul tours with his band, “St. Paul and the Minneapolis Funk All Stars, consisting of musicians and producers who helped to create the Minneapolis Sound.
Paul served as our Club’s President in 2024-25 and is the founder and creator of last summer’s inaugural Rotary sponsored Summer Music Series at Centennial Lakes Park in Edina.

Augustana Lutheran Church and Community Emergency Service (CES) share a long history of service in Minneapolis. Over 50 years ago, Augustana founded CES as one of the first downtown food shelves. Today, CES operates as its own organization but remains closely tied to Augustana, sharing space and a joint commitment to serving neighbors with dignity, compassion, and care.
One way this mission comes to life is through monthly Community Dinners, which bring neighbors together for a free meal and fellowship. Our Rotary Club will be volunteering at the April 8th dinner.

The Rotary Club of Edina’s Membership Committee welcomes Brittany Ritchie Sievers as our newsest member. Brittany is a former Rotarian from the Minnesota Veterans Club. She is the CEO and Founder of Higher Recruitment She is a graduate of University of Missouri-Columbia and attended JFK Special Warfare School. She serves on the advisory counsel of Americas Warrior Partnership and is active in membership care at the Society of American Military Engineers. Brittany is involved in her church and resides in Savage with her children.
