2014 Rotary Club of Edina Fundraiser and Gala Rendezvous in Paris

Bonjour!

The Rotary Club of Edina is holding their annual Fundraiser and Gala Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel. The reception and silent auction will begin at 6 p.m., with the dinner, raffle, and live auction at 7:45 p.m. The theme of this year's gala is "Rendezvous in Paris," and will feature a Parisian atmosphere with a 7-foot tall Eiffel Tower, a strolling musician playing French bistro music, and the hotel lit up like the "City of Lights."

The Fundraiser and Gala is the only fundraiser the Rotary Club of Edina holds during the year. All proceeds go to the Rotary Club of Edina Foundation to fund local and international grants. Groups that have received grants from the Foundation in the past include the Edina Education Foundation, VEAP, and the Southdale YMCA, among many others both here and around the world. 

The gala will have silent and live auctions as part of the evening. Browse the silent auction items to shop for fun, interesting, and beautiful items, some that money can't (usually) buy! The live auction, always a rollicking affair presided over by our very own Jon Barnett, will feature some exceptional travel and dining experiences, as well as many "one-of-a-kind" opportunities.

The delicious meal with be accompanied by French wines and pastries. There will be a signature drink—the French 75—in a signature glass at Harry's Bar–Paris. And enjoy having your photo taken on the set of a French bistro at our photo booth.

The gala not only raises money for worthy local and international causes, but the club will also take the opportunity to honor our most senior Edina Rotarians.

Be chic! Be debonnaire! Black tie is admired for the gala, but not required.
