The Rotary Club of Edina supports two non-profit foundations: the Edina Rotary Foundation and The Rotary Foundation. Every member is encouraged to support both foundations every year.
Money for the Edina Rotary Foundation is typically raised at a fundraising event in the fall. Money raised is used to support the Rotary Club of Edina's local programs, including Feed My Starving Children, the Jeremiah Program, Camp Enterprise and STRIVE. Money raised is also dispersed by the Community Service and International Service committees in the form of grants.
Money for The Rotary Foundation is raised from November until June of each year. Money is sent to Rotary International to support the mission of The Rotary Foundation—to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty. The Rotary Foundation also leads the charge on worldwide Rotary campaigns such as eradicating polio and promoting peace. Voluntary contributions by Rotarians and others to The Rotary Foundation are spent in support of humanitarian, educational and cultural programs and their operations. Clubs and Districts can apply for and receive Foundation grants to carry out worthy projects worldwide.
