The Rotary Club of Edina will welcome Ben Utecht as program speaker at the Thursday, Aug. 23, meeting. Utecht, a Minnesota native who played football for the University of Minnesota, and went on to play in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts. He won a Super Bowl ring with the Colts in 2007. He is a professional singer as well as motivational speaker. He will speak about "The MVP Program/The Champion's Way."
 
New members Doug Drake and Forest Green will be officially inducted into the club at the meeting.
 

Ben Utecht has always chased his dreams, finding his way from a small river town in Minnesota to a Super Bowl championship field. He has established himself as a prominent corporate and motivational speaker in the areas of leadership and culture.

Utecht has found success in many realms, sitting on the prestigious board of the American Brain Foundation, authoring "Counting the Days While My Mind Slips Away" with Simon and Schuster, and releasing award-nominated albums as a professional singer. However, without question, he would tell you his greatest accomplishment is being a husband to his beautiful wife and a father to their four daughters.

The Rotary Club of Edina meets at 12:15 p.m. Thursdays at the Edina Country Club. All are welcome. Cost for lunch and the program is $12 for kids, $20 for adults. Cash, check and credit card payments are accepted at the door.
