The Rotary Club of Edina will welcome Dr. Nancy Hutchison as program speaker at the Thursday, Aug. 16, meeting. Hutchison is a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation and she is a national expert in helping patients recover from the physical side effects of cancer and cancer treatment. 
 
Rotarian Susan Stiles will give her Classification Talk at the meeting.

Dr. Hutchison has encouraging and helpful information to share about cancer patients getting back into the game following cancer treatment. She has practiced in the Twin Cities since the mid-1980s, and she served as the first Medical Director of Cancer Rehabilitation for AllinaHealth, where she developed an award-winning program with over 100 clinicians including physicians, nurses and rehabilitation therapists.

She is regularly named as one of the Top Doctors by Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine. Of particular interest to Rotary, Dr. Hutchison in the 1980s and 1990s regularly treated polio patients through Sister Kenny Institute’s (now Courage Kenny) post-polio clinics.

Dr. Hutchison is the wife of Rotarian Don Hutchison.

The Rotary Club of Edina meets at 12:15 p.m. Thursdays at the Edina Country Club. All are welcome. Cost for lunch and the program is $20 for adults, $12 for children. Cash, check or credit card payments are accepted at the door.
