Celebrating the 60th anniversary of service to the community, the Edina Rotary Foundation will host its annual fundraiser and gala Saturday, Sept. 23. This year's fundraising event, dubbed “Diamond Jubilee,” will be held 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel, 5601 W. 78th St. The event will feature silent and live auctions, raffle, dinner and entertainment by “Deuces Wild!” dueling pianos.All proceeds from the event will be used for local and international service projects of the Rotary Club of Edina. Edina. Service projects include Camp Enterprise, a three-day camp for high school students to learn
about the free enterprise system; a third-grade book reading project; distribution of Thanksgiving meals to
those in need; meal packaging and serving; and park cleanup. The club’s largest projects for the year will
be tree plantings on school grounds and the installation of an interactive musical instrument at Rosland
Park.

Money from the event will also be granted to other non-profit agencies in the club’s service area. Recent
grant recipients include 66 West, Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter, Can Do
Canines, City of Edina Communications & Technology Services Department, Cornerstone Advocacy
Service, Edina Give And Go, Fraser, Hearts and Hands Minnesota, Inner City Christian Ministries,
Minnesota Life College, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Oasis for Youth, Open Arms of Minnesota,
Steve Rummer Hope Foundation, Whittier Wildflowers Preschool and YMCA Camp Ihduhapi.
