On Thursday, September 17, learn about human sex trafficking in Edina and the surrounding area. The pandemic has increased human trafficking. Learn to identify who is most at risk and the steps you can take to prevent sexual assault in families and in our backyard. This workshop is being presented by the Rotary Club of Edina and Rotary Club of Edina Morningside.

Jessica Bartholomew, retired police officer and founder/executive director of Anti Child Trafficking United, a Minnesota nonprofit that educates communities on preventing child trafficking.
 
John Turnipseed, Executive Vice President of Urban Ventures, a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the Minneapolis community John once terrorized as a gang banger.
 
Jennifer Gaines, trafficking survivor and owner of Affective Sober Living by JCS, a sober home for women in recovery. Advocate with Breaking Free, a nonprofit that provides services for women being trafficked or prostituted.
 
Due to the State of Minnesota's COVID-19 social gathering safety protocol, the live workshop session being held at the Edina Country Club is open for registration to only Edina Rotary Noon Club and Edina Morningside Rotary Club members and their invited guests. Guest cost is $25.00 each and will be billed to the sponsoring member at the time of registration. Register early--only 96 seats are available. In respect of the limited number of seats, no guest refunds will be issued. Registered member attendance and guest substitutions will be accepted.
