Kaylin Eidsness shared a wonderful invocation with a quote from former President FDR, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”
 
John Buttolph made an announcement regarding our upcoming bowling event Jan. 28 at Park Tavern in St. Louis Park.

Jim Roberts gave a terrific Classification Talk. As a pilot for Delta Airlines, he has been in aviation over 31 years. Born in Edina, and a graduate of Edina West High School, Jim has a wife and 3 children. Jim shared some of his favorites: Fort Myers Airport, and Fleetwood Mac, the greatest musical group.
 
Sue Spalding kicked off the Rotary International Bowl and introduced the two team captains and members of the Blue and Gold teams. The team members will be contacting club members in the coming months to talk about donations to The Rotary Foundation.

Greg Yoch came forward to announce that Jan. 26 is Prospective Member Day, so bring a guest/future member.

Greg Yoch then introduced our speaker, a terrific business professional, Scott Litman, who is the managing partner for EQUALS 3. Scott provided an introduction to “Lucy,” which is a very unique electronic program that provides new ways for technology to support business development. The values and benefits as to how digital formats can transform all business and websites was astounding. IBM is very involved in the “Lucy” program. As a system that is seven times faster and 75 percent lower in costs, the future looks great for “Lucy."

Dr. Steve Veker provided a “thank you” to our speaker for his very informative presentation.

President Ann Platt provided her closing remarks and “thanks to all” for our Rotarian friendships and creativity.
