Gerry Norton has completed his first month as the Rotary Club of Edina’s 72nd President. The 2026-2027 Rotary International theme is “Create Lasting Impact.” Locally, Norton is expected to usher in innovative projects, fundraisers and initiatives that reflect his commitment to inclusivity and community empowerment. The group’s next fundraiser will be the Edina Car Show noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. at 50th & France. Norton is a licensed real estate broker in five states. He founded the Brookshire Company in 2017, building a company around his diverse expertise. Propelled by the philosophies of the Society of Industrial Office Realtors, Brookshire focuses on client success first and foremost while creating opportunities for communities to thrive, ensuring that business and community enjoy a cohesive relationship. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Edina for 26 years and is a Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation.
“Rotary brings together leaders, professionals and community servants with a shared desire to make a difference,” Norton said. “It is where friendships are formed, ideas are exchanged and service becomes a catalyst for meaningful change. This year, Rotary International calls us to Create Lasting Impact, a message that reflects who we are as a club and what we strive to accomplish together. “I am especially excited about the year ahead. We have assembled an outstanding slate of speakers who will challenge our thinking, inspire our leadership and broaden our understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing our communities and our world. Beyond our weekly meetings, Rotary offers the opportunity to build meaningful friendships, strengthen professional relationships, and work side by side in service to others.” Rotary International begins its fiscal year July 1. At a year-end meeting June 25, the Rotary Club of Edina’s officers and committee leaders for 2026-20207 were introduced.
